About the Role
The Company is seeking an Assistant General Counsel with a focus on Specimen Management. This role is pivotal in the legal strategy and innovation of the business, requiring the successful candidate to be a strategic partner, advising executive leadership, and driving legal strategy in a fast-paced, global environment. The Assistant General Counsel will be responsible for a wide range of legal matters, including the drafting and negotiation of complex commercial agreements, providing legal counsel on corporate and transactional issues, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and compliance matters specific to the medical device industry. The role demands a hands-on lawyer with the ability to manage multiple high-stakes matters and a proven track record in commercial and transactional law. Applicants for this role at the company should have a J.D. from an accredited law school, be an active member of a U.S. state bar, and have significant experience in corporate and commercial/transactional law. Deep knowledge of commercial contracts across various deal types is essential, as is experience in advising on a range of business transactions. Familiarity with the medical device or life sciences industry, including regulatory frameworks, is a key requirement. The ideal candidate will have a background in supporting innovation, new product launches, or R&D-driven business units, and experience in clinical trials is a preferred qualification.
