Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Local applicants will be invited for an onsite interview, ensuring a personalized and collaborative match. The role involves working full-time during the school year at an intermediate campus, with classroom support from 1-2 dedicated aides.
Qualifications:
- Current Alabama Special Education certification (or eligibility for AL reciprocity)
- Experience teaching in self-contained or special education settings
- Strong ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and differentiate instruction
- Collaborative mindset for working alongside classroom aides and related service providers
- Commitment to supporting students in grades 3-6 with varying educational needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, tailored instruction to a small caseload of 5-6 students, with the possibility of up to 8 by year’s end
- Manage classroom routines and foster a structured, supportive environment
- Collaborate with aides, staff, and families to help students achieve their academic and behavioral goals
- Utilize data-driven strategies to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
