Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, maintaining appropriate supervision and mentorship.
- Coordinate care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making.
- Document care plans and outcomes, monitor patient status, and respond to changes in condition; participate in plan-of-care development.
- Promote patient safety, privacy, and confidentiality; communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team.
