About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Maryland Chapter. The successful candidate will be the senior-most leader of the Chapter, responsible for local strategy, sustainable revenue, community impact, and team performance. This role demands a high-capacity, externally focused executive with a proven track record in strategic partnerships, six-figure fundraising, and cross-functional coordination. The Executive Director will lead the Chapter's full operational portfolio, including staff, volunteers, budget, and community partnerships, and must ensure that the organization's mission is delivered with excellence, inclusion, and measurable outcomes. Key responsibilities include developing and executing a Chapter Sustainability Plan, securing major gifts, and expanding diversified revenue streams. The role also involves leading the Chapter's program delivery, managing an Advisory Board, and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders to advance the organization's strategic priorities. Candidates for the Executive Director position should have a Bachelor's degree or 7+ years' of experience in community development, nonprofit leadership, or strategic partnerships, with at least 5 years' of management experience. The ideal candidate will have a mission-driven mindset, exceptional executive communication skills, and the ability to work effectively across diverse groups and sectors. Experience in fundraising, particularly in securing significant philanthropic gifts, is essential. The role requires a leader with a strong sense of urgency, integrity, and the ability to build and maintain cross-sector partnerships. While not mandatory, experience with CRM systems and an understanding of military culture and the lived experience of military families is desired. The Executive Director will be expected to work in a high-performance, mission-driven environment and to travel as needed for the organization's events and gatherings.
