Registered Nurse (RN) La Jolla, CA
A healthcare organization is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care within an acute care setting. Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions throughout hospitalization
- Develop, implement, and update individualized nursing care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed
- Monitor patient progress and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Educate patients and family members regarding treatment plans, recovery expectations, medications, and discharge instructions
- Support patients recovering from complex medical and surgical procedures
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and evidence-based nursing practices
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and care transitions
- Advocate for patient needs while supporting a positive patient experience
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Previous acute care nursing experience preferred
- Experience caring for medical-surgical, neurological, orthopedic, or post-surgical patients preferred
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
