Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana Department of Education certification with SPED endorsement required (no temporary or alternative certifications accepted)
• Recent experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting strongly preferred
• Ability to successfully complete district-required drug screening and fingerprinting as part of the credentialing process
• Flexible and adaptable, with readiness to work at multiple campuses if needed
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students of varying ages and abilities

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, as assigned
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
• Maintain accurate records and progress monitoring in accordance with state and district guidelines
• Support the academic, social, and emotional development of all students on your caseload
• Participate in professional development and team meetings as needed
