Pipeline Survey Project Manager

Position Summary

The Pipeline Survey Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and delivering pipeline survey projects that support oil and gas transmission, gathering, distribution, and facility development. This is an in-office role in Tulsa, OK and serves as the primary point of accountability for safety, scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction while leading survey field crews, office staff, subcontractors, and project stakeholders. The Project Manager ensures survey deliverables meet client requirements, regulatory standards, and company quality expectations while driving efficient project execution from proposal through closeout

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management & Execution

• Manage pipeline survey projects including route selection, preliminary surveys, alignment sheets, as-built surveys, construction staking, and facility surveys
• Develop project execution plans, schedules, staffing plans, and budgets
• Monitor project progress and proactively identify and mitigate risks impacting scope, schedule, or budget
• Lead project kickoff meetings and establish clear expectations for internal teams and clients
• Coordinate multiple concurrent projects across various geographic regions
• Ensure timely completion of deliverables while maintaining quality standards

Client Management

• Serve as the primary client contact throughout project lifecycle
• Build and maintain strong relationships with pipeline operators, midstream companies, and construction contractors
• Manage client expectations regarding scope, schedule, deliverables, and project changes
• Lead project status meetings and provide regular progress updates
• Identify opportunities for additional services and future project work

Financial Management

• Develop and manage project budgets and forecasts
• Track labor, equipment, subcontractor, and travel costs
• Review project performance metrics and profitability
• Manage change orders and scope modifications
• Approve invoices and support accounts receivable efforts

Required Qualifications:

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
• Equivalent combination of education and industry experience may be considered

Experience

• 7+ years of land surveying experience supporting pipeline or linear infrastructure projects. Or 3+ years of project management experience
• Experience working within oil & gas, energy, utility, or infrastructure industries
