Permit Project Coordinator

We’re looking for a Permit Project Coordinator on behalf of our client. This is a 1‑year contract assignment, W‑2 position. You will manage and facilitate the permitting process for building renewable energy facilities, working directly with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) to obtain permits necessary for construction and operation. Renewable energy facilities include solar, wind, battery energy storage, and associated transmission and substation infrastructure. Travel to project sites and regulatory offices may be required occasionally. You will report to the onsite manager. Location: Juno Beach, FL 33408 Key Responsibilities Coordinate and manage permit applications for renewable energy construction projects across multiple jurisdictions Develop and maintain relationships with local AHJs to facilitate the permitting process Interpret and apply local building codes, zoning regulations, and environmental requirements Prepare and review permit applications and supporting documentation Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, construction, development and project management teams Track and report permit status and ensure timely submission of all required documentation Coordinate permit activity timelines in alignment with the overall project schedule Identify and assess permit risks, develop mitigation strategies, and report to the project team Maintain accurate records of permit applications, approvals, and related communications Attend pre‑application meetings with regulatory agencies Keep project teams informed of permitting timelines and requirements Qualifications 5+ years of experience in a corporate environment in permitting, regulatory compliance, or a related field Experience with construction projects related to renewable energy, electrical utility, or major infrastructure permitting Understanding of building codes and permitting processes Benefits Comprehensive Health and Income Protection Benefits 401(k) Savings Plan Paid Vacations for qualifying positions Salary range: $47.00/hr to $52.00/hr (dependent upon experience, qualifications, and skills).
