Senior Accountant I

To maintain the Credit Union's accounting records and reports, ensuring they are in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and banking accounting practices. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Creates and reconciles journal entries with the accounting general ledger accounts. Reconciliation for daily settlement of the credit union. Prepares and reconciles monthly accruals. Prepares various accounting reports and spreadsheets. Coordinates accounting matters with other staff members and departments. Assist with Accounts Payable, as needed. Provides backup support to other areas of the Accounting area. Offers suggestions for improving and streamlining processes and procedures. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. This is a hybrid role and requires work to be performed on site in Lowell, MA a minimum of 1-2 days per week.
