Join Allied Universal at a dynamic utilities location, where you will manage access control, monitor assigned areas, and conduct routine patrols to help support a secure environment. In this role, you will remain visible, help to deter incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Guided by teamwork, integrity, and a people‑first culture, you will play an important part in daily site operations. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTime Fri 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM, Sat 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM, Sun 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service by carrying out site‑specific access control procedures, visitor processing, badge verification, and other security‑related policies at a utility location. Monitor entry and exit points, check identification and/or credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, equipment zones, and administrative spaces. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed. Document visitor activity, contractor arrivals, deliveries, and unusual events through logs, reports, and other required records. Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to observe conditions, report concerns, and support security‑related operations. Minimum Requirements: Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License. Possess a valid TSA issued TWIC. Be at least 21 years of age. Customer service experience is preferred. At this site there are limited on‑site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
