TIG Welder

What You'll Be Doing

• Perform TIG welding on custom-fabricated ductwork and ventilation system components using thin-gauge carbon steel, galvanized steel, and aluminum.
• Read and interpret blueprints, prints, and layouts to accurately measure, fit, tack, and weld assemblies.
• Fabricate and assemble sheet metal components ranging from 16 to 14 gauge material.
• Operate fabrication equipment including shears, press brakes, grinders, rollers, saws, drills, and other sheet metal machinery.
• Verify dimensions and quality using tape measures and inspection techniques to ensure precise specifications are met.
• Support fabrication team members with custom projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and workmanship while meeting production deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of TIG welding experience in a custom fabrication environment.
• Strong experience working with thin-gauge sheet metal and ductwork fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and perform layout work independently.
• Experience welding carbon steel; stainless steel welding experience is a plus.
• Comfortable working extended 11-12 hour shifts and overtime as needed.
• Strong measuring skills and attention to detail.

Schedule & Pay

• 1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• Current schedule typically runs 5:00 AM - 4:30/5:30 PM due to available overtime
• Pay: $20-$25/hour, based on experience
• Contract to hire opportunity for candidates with good attendance, attitude, and performance.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denver, PA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
