• Shift: 12+ hour shifts, 7 days/week schedule (8:00 AM 8:00 PM)
• Hours/week: 36 hours (3 shifts/week)

• License/Certs: Physician Assistant license in VA, BLS
• Experience: Prior urgent care or emergency medicine experience preferred

Pay & Benefits

• Hourly Pay Rate: $17.16/hr

What You ll Do

• Provide urgent care services including minor procedures like laceration repairs, I&D, and splinting
• Manage patient exams for a variety of age groups, from pediatric to adult
• Interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays and EKGs
• Perform point-of-care testing including rapid strep, flu, COVID-19, and blood glucose exams
• Administer treatments like nebulizer therapy and initial emergency stabilization
• Document all patient interactions accurately in Epic EMR
• Collaborate with supervising physicians and support staff to ensure quality patient care

What You Need

• Active Physician Assistant license in Virginia
• BLS certification
• Prior urgent care or emergency room experience preferred
• Ability to perform procedures such as suturing, I&D, splinting, and point-of-care testing
• Excellent clinical skills and compassionate patient approach
