The clinics are open seven days a week and are supported by a strong team environment dedicated to delivering high-quality, community-based care.

Job Details:

• Provide urgent care services across multiple clinic locations in the Richmond, VA area
• Locum and Locum to Perm opportunity; 3 shifts per week per provider
• Clinics operate 7 days a week, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM; shifts are 12+ hours depending on patient flow
• Expected to see all patients who arrive during hours of operation
• Patient population ranges from birth to end of life; 100% outpatient setting
• Average patient volume ranges from 25 to 50 patients per day, with higher volumes during cold and flu season
• Perform laceration repair including simple, intermediate, and complex suturing or stapling
• Perform incision and drainage (I&D) including wound packing
• Perform foreign body removal and minor burn management
• Provide skin lesion care and orthopedic injury stabilization
• Perform splinting and casting as well as joint reduction
• Conduct and interpret diagnostic and point-of-care testing including X-ray interpretation
• Perform EKG evaluation and interpret point-of-care lab results including rapid strep, flu, COVID-19, RSV, urinalysis, and blood glucose testing
• Manage epistaxis via anterior nasal packing or chemical cautery (silver nitrate)
• Perform cerumen impaction removal
• Provide airway support including nebulizer treatments and initial emergency stabilization
• Document using Epic EMR
• Active Virginia license required
• Board certification required
• Active BLS and DEA required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an ED/ER, primary care, or urgent care setting required
• Clean background with no malpractice or license issues required
• Local candidates or those willing to provide inclusive rates preferred; no travel reimbursement available
• Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60 to 90 days

Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
