Human Resources Manager

R W H Holdings

Location: Woburn, MA

Schedule: On-Site Monday–Thursday | Remote Fridays

Pay: Base Salary (Paid Weekly)

What You’ll Do:

People Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team
  • Set team priorities, manage workloads, and foster a collaborative and high-performing HR function
  • Serve as an escalation point for employee and manager inquiries for both internal employees and contractors

HR Operations & Technology

  • Oversee HR technology platforms and tools in partnership with the HR & People Ops team member
  • Ensure systems are properly maintained, updated, and leveraged to streamline HR processes
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within HR operations

Benefits Administration

  • Manage the administration of employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, retirement, and ancillary plans
  • Serve as primary point of contact for benefits vendors and brokers
  • Lead annual open enrollment planning and communication

Talent Acquisition Support

  • Partner with the TA Recruiter to support hiring efforts across the organization
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to define role requirements and ensure a positive candidate experience
  • Oversee offer letter creation and approval processes in alignment with compensation guidelines

Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution

  • Manage employee relations matters with empathy, discretion, and a commitment to fairness
  • Conduct or oversee workplace investigations as needed
  • Advise managers and leadership on performance management, coaching, and disciplinary processes

Compliance, Policies & Employment Law

  • Ensure company policies and practices are compliant with federal, Massachusetts state, and applicable local employment laws and regulations
  • Maintain and update the employee handbook and HR policies on a regular basis
  • Monitor regulatory changes and proactively communicate updates to leadership
  • Manage documentation related to employment offers, changes, and terminations

Facilities Oversight

  • Serve as the point of contact for office and facilities needs at the Wayburn location
  • Coordinate with team to manage vendors, building management, and internal stakeholders to ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming work environment
  • Manage facilities-related budgets and vendor relationships

Team Structure

The HR & People Operations Manager will directly manage a two-person team:

  • Talent Acquisition (TA) Recruiter – responsible for full-cycle recruiting and candidate experience
  • HR & People Operations Specialist – responsible for HR administration, HRIS/technology systems support, and day-to-day support of people operations, including facilities and events.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in an HR & People Operations Manager or HR Lead capacity
  • Demonstrated experience managing or mentoring HR team members
  • Strong working knowledge of Massachusetts and federal employment law and HR compliance
  • Experience administering employee benefits programs
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms and HR technology tools
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
  • High level of discretion and sound judgment when handling sensitive matters

Preferred

  • Experience overseeing or supporting a recruiting/talent acquisition function
  • Familiarity with facilities management or office operations responsibilities
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification
  • Experience in a multi-entity or holding company environment
