MIG Welder

Join our team as a MIG Welder where you will primarily work with aluminum, using miller welders to create scales for various applications, including military contracts. This role offers a relaxed environment where perfection is not demanded, though a decent finish is necessary. Expect to perform some grinding on your welds and handle large parts with the aid of hoists and tables.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on steel and aluminum, focusing primarily on aluminum.
• Occasionally perform TIG welding, though prior experience is not mandatory.
• Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols accurately.
• Grind welds when necessary to ensure a decent finish.
• Collaborate with the team to meet production goals while maintaining quality standards.

Essential Skills

• Over 1 year of experience in MIG welding on aluminum.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and weld symbols.
• Ability to provide a picture or supervisor reference of MIG welds on aluminum.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Some experience with TIG welding is beneficial but not required.

Work Environment

Work in a well-organized manufacturing and warehouse environment. While the shop may not be brightly lit, it is equipped to handle large parts efficiently with the use of hoists and tables. Dress in jeans and a T-shirt, as the work might get a little dirty, and steel-toed boots are recommended for safety. Enjoy a 1/2 hour lunch break and two 15-minute breaks throughout the day.

This is a permanent position based out of Medina, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
