Office Assistant 3 (OA3) – Community Corrections Division, Tacoma, WA Our agency is looking to fill a full‑time, non‑permanent Office Assistant (OA3) position within the Community Corrections Division. This temporary appointment is expected to last about six months and will report to the Office Manager. The role will perform file management, advanced clerical support, and front desk duties. Work hours: Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm. Responsibilities Manage and maintain electronic and physical files, including database entry and retrieval from systems such as OMNI and OnBase. Archive closed DOC field files. Provide front desk reception on a rotational basis: greet and direct clients, manage a multi‑line phone system, and receive equipment and supplies from vendors. Process incoming and outgoing mail. Perform miscellaneous clerical duties as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum six months of clerical experience requiring basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Outlook, Excel). Required Skills and Abilities Maintain regular and reliable attendance. Respect and maintain confidentiality. Ability to assist individuals with various criminal backgrounds. Strong written communication skills: proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Strong verbal communication skills with coworkers, the public, and crime‑justice agencies or stakeholders.
