Job Summary:
The position is for a Cardiac Catheterization Nurse specializing in the Cardiac Cath Lab located in Burlingame, California. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including cardiac catheterizations, structural heart therapies, and electrophysiology procedures. Candidates are required to bring their California Registered Nurse license on the first day. The schedule includes four 10-hour shifts from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with flexible start times between 7:30 and 10:00 AM; weekend call is also required.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 4 x 10 days, shift hours from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM with variable start times from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM; minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse licensure; at least 3 years of experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab RN; certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Experience with Epic electronic medical record system preferred.
• Specialized Skills and Procedures: Activation Clotting Time (ACT), Arrhythmia Induction, ASD Closures, Baseline Measurements, Cardiac Ablation, Cardiac Implant Closure Device, Cardiac Stent Placement, Circulate Procedures, Conduction Studies, Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterizations, Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, IABP Placement/Removal, Impella insertion, Insertion/Programming of AICDs, Interventional Cardiac Catheterization, Interventional Radiology, Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) Closure, Left heart catheterization, Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG, Pacemaker Insertion, Pacemaker/Defibrillator lead extraction/removal, Percutaneous Coronary Interventions, Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz Monitoring, Right heart catheterization, Rotablator Atherectomy, Sheath Removal/Monitoring, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE), Valvuloplasty, Vascular Closure Systems, Ventricular Assist Device Insertion, Watchman procedure.
• Additional Information: Candidate must have at least 3 years of experience in the Cardiac Cath Lab and familiarity with Epic electronic medical records. Must have been cleared of any background hits or DUIs prior to submission. Work history verification spanning 7 years is required. Candidates must be available to start within 3-5 days of signing and reside within 50 miles of the facility or be accepted at the local rate. Submit a copy of all certifications in hand at the time of submittal.
• Certifications and Licensing: All certifications must be from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Vaccinations: COVID-19 and Flu vaccines are required.
• Travel and Housing: Local candidates are accepted at the local rate. Non-local candidates must be able to travel within 3-5 days of signing.
