As a Security Officer Credential Issuance in CHANNAHON , IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help manage badge access, monitor alarm panels, and support a welcoming, professional entry experience. You will use computer or tablet systems, communicate with employees and visitors, and help deter security-related incidents through attentive service. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.75 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Tue 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Thur 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific reporting and escalation procedures. Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity. Support compliance with chemical and petrochemical facility access requirements, including applicable personal protective equipment and restricted-area protocols. Minimum Requirements: Experience with alarm panels is preferred. Experience with access control systems and badge systems is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
