Aquatic Program Coordinator

Company Description Cherokee Recreation and Parks Agency is a community-focused organization providing recreational facilities and services in Cherokee County. Based out of 7545 Main Street, Building 200 (Recreation Center/Main Office) in Woodstock, Georgia, the agency offers diverse programs that promote wellness, leisure, and community engagement. It manages parks, aquatic centers, and recreational activities designed for individuals and families of all ages. Role Description The Aquatic Program Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role located in Canton, GA, responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising aquatic programs and activities. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and scheduling swim lessons, aquatic fitness classes, and special events; coordinating lifeguard and instructor coverage; and ensuring safe, well-maintained pool facilities. The role includes supervising staff, supporting recruitment and training, monitoring program participation, and responding to participant inquiries and feedback. The coordinator collaborates with other agency staff to promote aquatic programs, maintain high customer service standards, and comply with all safety and regulatory requirements. Qualifications Program Management and Program Development skills to plan, implement, and evaluate aquatic programs and services. Project Management abilities to coordinate schedules, resources, events, and facility operations efficiently. Strong Communication skills to interact with participants, staff, and community partners in a clear and professional manner. Customer Service skills to create welcoming experiences, address concerns, and support diverse community needs. Experience in aquatics operations, including pool safety practices, lifeguard supervision, and adherence to health codes. Ability to lead and motivate staff teams, with strong organizational and time-management skills. Relevant certifications such as Lifeguard, CPR/First Aid, and Water Safety Instructor, or willingness to obtain them.
