Assistant Front Office Manager-1

Duties & Responsibilities Manages all aspects of front desk operations for the assigned shift. Works with Front Desk Agents to greet guests, assist with check‑in/check‑out, and handle guest assistance concerns. Monitors performance and collaborates with the Front Office Manager to recommend corrective or disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies. Alerts management to potentially serious issues. Ensures staff are properly trained and equipped to perform job functions. Provides prompt, professional attention to guests and ensures they are greeted upon arrival. Responds appropriately to guest complaints and implements service recovery gestures to ensure total satisfaction. Communicates VIP, Hilton Honors, or special needs or requests to staff and follows up on execution. Supports departmental guest satisfaction, revenue, and profit goals. Manages labor costs and expenses within budget. Ensures procedures for security of monies, credit, financial transactions, and guest security are followed. Conducts routine inspections of the front office and public areas to maintain high standards of appearance. Trains staff on procedures in case of emergency or crisis. Promotes teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. Serves as manager on duty during evenings and weekends. Education High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience One or more years of hotel front office/guest services experience, preferably including supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Hilton or OnQ experience is a plus but not required. Must speak fluent English. Other Requirements Strong communication skills; reading and writing abilities; basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances; problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities; proficiency in a moderately complex computer system; ability to stand, walk and perform behind the front desk; professional verbal and written communication. Shift Requirements Position requires work at mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays. The hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Employees may be required to shift schedules as business demands dictate. Benefits Full‑time: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, and Life Insurance; 401(k) Plan; Paid Time Off – 1.38 hours per 40 hours worked (9 days); 7 paid holidays. Part‑time: 401(k) Plan; Sick time – accrue 1 hour per 30 hours worked.
