Account Executive I

Job Location: Middletown, CT 06457 | Position Type: Full Time | Salary Range: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 Base+Commission/year | Job Category: Account Manager – B2B Technology Distribution Own and grow a multi‑million dollar book of business. You will step into a portfolio of reseller accounts generating millions in annual revenue and be responsible for growing it—expanding what your customers buy, increasing frequency, and adding new business alongside it. The sales model is straightforward. The expectations are not. Success in this role comes from consistent execution, strong account control, and staying engaged with your customers every day. For the right person, it’s a clear path to building a stable six‑figure income tied directly to the book you manage. Why This Role Is Worth It Real book of business from day one You inherit active accounts with established purchasing behavior Scale and responsibility – you are managing and growing millions of dollars in annual revenue Repeat revenue model – many products drive ongoing orders, not one‑off transactions Clear connection between effort and income – activity and follow‑through directly translate to growth Uncapped earnings – $80K–$120K+ OTE with upside as your book expands Practical product set – you’re selling real business needs—hardware, supplies, and workplace technology—not complex solutions What You’ll Do Own the Business Take responsibility for a defined set of reseller accounts Maintain consistent contact and stay close to purchasing activity Build relationships across each account Grow Revenue Expand share of wallet across your book Introduce new product categories and programs Identify and close incremental opportunities Add New Accounts Bring on new reseller partners Re‑engage past customers Turn initial wins into recurring revenue Execute Daily Operate at a high level of outbound activity Manage pipeline and account activity in CRM Stay organized, responsive, and persistent What It Takes to Succeed Consistency — this is a daily execution role Accountability — you own the outcome of your book Work ethic — activity drives performance Competitiveness — you want your numbers to improve month over month Commercial awareness — you understand how customers buy and where to grow them What This Role Is (and Isn’t) This role is: A high‑output sales role with real revenue responsibility Focused on growing existing business over time A path to building a durable book of business This role is not: A zero‑base, cold‑start hunting role A highly technical or engineering‑heavy sales cycle A passive account management job Qualifications Sales mindset — competitive, driven, and comfortable owning a number Consistency — willing to operate in a high‑activity environment Curiosity — interested in how customers make money and how to help them grow Communication skills — able to engage a range of stakeholders Experience Early‑career candidates with strong drive are encouraged to apply B2B sales experience (tech, distribution, or channel) is a plus Other Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Onsite in Middletown, CT (5 days/week) Occasional travel (1–2× per quarter) Compensation & Benefits $80K–$120K+ on‑target earnings with uncapped commissions Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) Paid time off and holidays About Image Star Image Star is a nationwide distributor of workplace technology, supporting IT resellers with hardware, supplies, and business‑building programs.
