PE-Backed Advanced Manufacturing | Precision Machining About the Opportunity We are partnered with a private equity-backed advanced manufacturing business with approximately $150M in revenue, seeking a President / CEO to lead the organisation through its next phase of growth. The business operates within a highly engineered, precision manufacturing environment, with a strong position across precision machining of metals and significant opportunity to expand both organically and through strategic M&A. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an ambitious, commercially minded operator who can combine operational excellence with a strong growth mindset and the leadership presence required to build significant enterprise value. The successful candidate will work closely with the Board and private equity sponsor to develop and execute the company's growth strategy, with the ultimate objective of positioning the business for a successful future exit. The Role The President / CEO will have full responsibility for the strategic, commercial and operational performance of the business. Key responsibilities will include: Develop and execute a clear strategy for continued organic growth and margin improvement Identify and execute opportunities to expand market share, customers, capabilities and geographic reach Lead the identification, evaluation and integration of strategic acquisitions Maintain a strong focus on operational excellence, manufacturing performance, quality and delivery Develop and strengthen the commercial organisation, driving a proactive and customer-focused approach to growth Build a high-performing leadership team and establish clear accountability throughout the organisation Ensure the business has the people, processes, systems and infrastructure required to scale Partner closely with the Board and private equity sponsor on strategy, performance and value creation Establish and track key operational and financial performance metrics Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers and other stakeholders Create a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, innovation and high performance Lead the organisation through its next stage of growth and towards a successful exit Candidate Profile We are seeking an exceptional leader with deep experience within precision manufacturing and a strong understanding of what operational excellence looks like in a high-performance environment. The successful candidate will ideally bring: Extensive experience within precision machining, particularly machining of metals A deep understanding of complex, high-precision manufacturing environments A proven track record across both commercial and operational leadership Strong P&L ownership and financial acumen Demonstrable experience driving organic revenue growth and improving profitability Experience developing and executing commercial strategies and winning new business Exposure to M&A, acquisition integration and/or inorganic growth strategies The ability to assess manufacturing operations quickly and identify opportunities for improvement Experience building, developing and leading high-performing management teams Strong understanding of customers, markets, competitors and commercial dynamics within advanced manufacturing Experience operating within a private equity-backed environment is advantageous but not essential Leadership Profile Beyond experience, this appointment requires a distinctive leadership style. We are looking for an individual with genuine energy, enthusiasm and charisma who naturally commands a room and can inspire an organisation around a common vision. The successful candidate will be: Commercially hungry and growth-oriented Operationally credible and highly analytical Decisive, entrepreneurial and comfortable making difficult decisions A natural leader with the ability to engage people at every level of the organisation Comfortable operating with a PE Board and sophisticated investors Able to balance short-term operational performance with long-term value creation Hands-on enough to understand the detail, but strategic enough to see the bigger picture Resilient, ambitious and motivated by building something materially larger Capable of creating momentum and taking an organisation through significant transformation CEO Experience We are deliberately open-minded regarding previous CEO experience. The opportunity could suit an experienced CEO / President with a proven track record in advanced manufacturing, but we are equally interested in exceptional senior operators who are ready to take their first CEO mandate. This could include a high-performing COO, Division President, Business Unit President or similarly senior leader who has demonstrated the commercial, operational and leadership horsepower required to take full ownership of a $150M+ manufacturing business. The key consideration is not the title held previously, but the individual's ability to lead, grow and transform the organisation.
