Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts, with shift times of 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend rotation every third weekend (may potentially be pulled off weekend to support staffing needs during the week)
• Every other holiday expected
• No on-call responsibilities
• Patient ratio of 1:2, up to 1:3 if patient is stepdown level
• Care for a variety of ICU patient types including general ICU, stroke, sepsis, pneumonia, post-surgical, and CRRT patients (no ECMO)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• First-time travelers accepted for day shift; night shift prefers travel experience but will consider candidates with several years of experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Must have experience with arterial lines, cardiac and critical drips, ventilators, BiPAP, tracheostomies, and code management
• Charting system: Epic EMR
• IV pumps: Alaris; medication dispensing: Pyxis
• Scrub color: Navy blue
• May float to a holding area with ICU patients or potentially to Kenosha if not needed; floating limited to ICU level care only
• Unit support includes CNAs, charge nurse with reduced patient assignment, phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, respiratory therapy, hospitalist available 24/7, intensivist on site 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM seven days a week, eICU coverage 24/7, and OT/PT/ST services
• Orientation includes NEO and 2 twelve-hour shifts of unit orientation

Facility:

This facility is a 60-bed hospital operating as a Level 3 Trauma Center, featuring a 12-bed ICU unit equipped to handle a wide range of critical care needs. The facility provides comprehensive support services including around-the-clock hospitalist coverage, on-site intensivist coverage, eICU monitoring, respiratory therapy, and rehabilitation services to ensure high-quality patient care across all levels of acuity.
