Budget Analyst

This position is part of theDefense Security Cooperation Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for serving as a Budget Analyst responsible for performing the total spectrum of programming, budgeting, execution, and review of the highly complex Security Cooperation (SC) programs to include a one-year, two-year, and x-year (no year) accounts. You may qualify at the GS 13 grade level, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service as listed below: Analyzing, revising, and recommending approval or adjustments to budget requests and reprogramming actions Negotiating with management to accept and implementing budgetary recommendations Developing, advising and briefing budgetary policies and programs to managers and senior leadership and Conducting extensive analysis of budgetary guidelines, policies, legislation, and regulations to develop recommendations for unplanned/unfunded requirements and funding adjustments. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
