Position Description:

Review skid orders from identified work-cells and construct skids to specified dimensions outlined on the corresponding orders. Ensure equipment and working area are maintained in a clean and organized manner. Conduct job functions in a safe and efficient manner.

2.0 Position Requirements:

2.1 Locate and prepare material to be used in the skid building process.

2.2 Accurately measure and cut wood to dimensions that will satisfy parameters of the finished skid sizes.

2.3 Operate material handling equipment, saw, and nail gun as needed to complete functions of the skid building operation.

2.4 Assemble and secure various sizes of cut wood to create required quantity and dimensions of skids as listed on order documents.

2.5 Document skid size and work-cell on skid for identification purposes.

2.6 Either deliver completed skids of order to work-cell or notify work-cell operators of the completion of skid order.

2.7 Perform any and all duties required to complete the skid building process.

2.8 Train others as required.

2.9 Inform proper authority of equipment deficiencies, product quality, and safety concerns.

2.10 Perform required preventative maintenance and housekeeping duties.

2.11 Use proper PPE.

2.12 Perform any additional tasks as requested.

3.0 Position Qualifications:

3.1 Minimum requirements: Proficient use of the English language is preferred, ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Job Types: Full-time, Temp-to-hire

Pay: $20.00 - $22.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
