The pay, commission and employment benefit structure follows: Gross annual base salary $ 58,000 - category: Salaried Sales Commissions 8% of gross profit on all sales Paid vacation 5 days after 1st anniversary and increases as tenure increases pursuant to company Handbook Paid sick leave 48 hours after 30 days of service accrued at the rate of 1.85 hours per pay period Group medical plan 95% of premium paid by company only 5% is shouldered by the employee Typical Schedule Monday through Friday Typical working hours are between 6:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., depending on customer schedules and territory requirements Company Overview Bonanza Trade & Supply is a leading distributor of tile and stone tools, fabrication supplies, installation materials, and equipment serving professional contractors, stone fabricators, and tile installers throughout Southern California. In addition to our retail store and eCommerce platforms—including StoneTooling.com—Bonanza operates a dedicated team of Outside Sales Representatives and Mobile Van Sales Representatives focused on providing exceptional customer service and growing long-term customer relationships. Position Summary The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for developing, maintaining, and growing an assigned territory of stone fabrication shops, tile contractors, and related businesses. This position follows a structured daily route, making regular in-person customer visits to strengthen relationships, identify opportunities, and generate sales. Unlike the Mobile Van Sales Representative, the Outside Sales Representative does not carry inventory or make deliveries. Instead, they work closely with Bonanza's Customer Service, Dispatch, Warehouse, and Accounting teams to ensure customers receive exceptional service, accurate deliveries, and timely payment support. Primary Responsibilities Develop and grow sales within an assigned territory. Follow a daily route schedule by making regular in-person visits to existing and prospective customers. Build and maintain long-term customer relationships through consistent communication and follow-up. Prospect and cold-call new customers to expand Bonanza's customer base. Ask thoughtful questions to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions. Introduce new products, promotions, and manufacturer programs. Prepare quotes and follow up on outstanding opportunities. Coordinate customer orders with Customer Service and Dispatch to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. Partner with the Accounting Department to assist with collections, credit concerns, and payment issues when necessary. Resolve customer concerns promptly by coordinating with the appropriate internal departments. Maintain accurate customer records, visit notes, and sales activity within the company's ERP and CRM systems. Monitor competitive activity and communicate market trends to management. Attend sales meetings, product training sessions, and manufacturer demonstrations. Represent Bonanza Trade & Supply professionally at all times. Communication & Company Equipment Utilize the company-provided cell phone for all business-related calls, text messages, customer communications, and business applications. Maintain professional communication with customers, coworkers, and vendors. Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Protect confidential customer and company information. Required Qualifications Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and positive attitude. Professional outside sales experience with a proven history of meeting or exceeding sales goals. Excellent relationship-building and customer service skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Highly organized with excellent time management abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. Comfortable prospecting and developing new business. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ERP/CRM systems. Computer proficiency. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Valid driver's license with a good driving record. Ability to lift approximately 60 pounds when occasionally assisting customers or demonstrating products. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal departments.
