Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Home Health assignment covering the Cincinnati area, requiring at least 1 year of PT experience and current state licensure.

Details

• Home Health setting covering downtown Cincinnati, Indian Hill, Colerain Twp., Norwood, Forest Park, and Sayler Park
• Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no weekends required
• Flexible scheduling allows weekend visits if the clinician chooses
• Weekly productivity expectation of 7 visits/day or 35 visits per week
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• EMR system used is Home Care Home Base; training provided for candidates without prior experience

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of PT experience required
• PTA experience in any setting preferred
• Current CPR certification required
• Active state license required if applicable
• Skilled in assessment techniques including AROM/AAROM/PROM, pain assessment, and vital sign monitoring
• Experience with cardiopulmonary/circulatory conditions such as COPD, CHF, CABG, MI, and PVD preferred
• Experience with orthopedic conditions including DDD, DJD, gait training, hip fractures, and post-op joint and spinal surgeries preferred
• Experience with neurologic conditions such as dementia, multiple sclerosis, and post-stroke rehabilitation preferred
• Familiarity with home exercise programs, patient/family education, and safety/injury prevention preferred
• Comfortable using equipment such as Hoyer lifts, walkers, shoulder slings, sliding boards, and supplemental oxygen delivery devices
• Strong time management and documentation skills required

Additional Information

• Main responsibilities include home-based physical therapy evaluation and treatment for adult and geriatric patients
• Candidates should be comfortable managing a caseload independently within the community
• Maximum RTO of 14 days allowed per contract, with no schedule changes negotiated after an offer is made
• Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Previous PERM/PRN staff or prior agency employees not extended due to tenure must wait 6 months before reapplying as a traveler
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
