Turner Industries Group is looking for a Estimator to join our Estimating team at our Pipe Fabrication Facility in Port Allen, LA.  This position will be responsible for:  Coordinating proposal documents, specifications, drawings, and related informationGenerating material and labor take off based on client drawings, specifications, and/or bills of quantityComputing pricing based on developed take-offs and client data; develops technical and commercial responses to include in proposals in conjunction with QA/QC and contracts departmentContinuing coordination efforts with projects and/or sales groups until project is awarded; Acting as a liaison with Contracts department regarding relevant bid/award documentation; Attending "kick-off" meetings internally and with client if necessary for awarded projects;Performing additional assignments as required; Maintaining a clean and safe work environment at all times. Qualifications: Preferably 2+ years of experience or equivalent combinations of experience, training, and/or education in specified skillExcellent analytical and technical skills required in facilitating the execution of projects based on preliminary information onlyMust possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational skillsMust be self-directed and detail orientedProficient in MS ExcelPost-offer drug/alcohol screen"Personal Protective Equipment" (hearing protection, safety glasses, long sleeve shirt, gloves, steel toe boots, etc.) required when in shop/yard areas. Physical and Mental Involvement:  Employee may be required to do the following: reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; standing; sitting; walking; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction; following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; planning work; comparing and understanding differences in the size, shape and form of lines, figures and objects; picturing and evaluating solid objects from drawings or diagrams using standards that can be measured or checked; following oral and/or written directions, plans and blueprints; reading; writing; ability to recognize and report safety hazards.   Turner Industries is an equal employment opportunity employer.
