Manufacturing Technician *5th Shift*

Job Summary Location: Tucson, AZ – 801 ~ 1151 E Hermans Rd, BLDG 801 (External Site). Position: Onsite Manufacturing – Composite and Electronic Assembly. Role requires U.S. citizenship and a DoD Secret clearance. Job Responsibilities Work weekend shifts (Friday–Sunday) 6:00PM–6:30AM, including a 30‑minute unpaid lunch; 5th shift workers receive a $1.10/hour premium. Lay out, lay up, pad, fabricate composite parts, and assemble, disassemble, install, modify, and inspect complex electronic, optical, and mechanical production assemblies. Prepare surfaces, apply coatings, and perform coating‑related processes; conduct electrical and mechanical in‑process checks, analysis, and rework of precision parts and assemblies. Perform wiring, continuity, and component checks using electronic theory and circuit analysis. Fabricate, bond, and assemble varied composite parts using multiple fabrication technologies, including prototyping hardware when required. Set up, adjust, and operate complex assembly machines, micro equipment, and test/inspection tools for electronic circuit assemblies. Meet visual acuity and role‑specific skill requirements (e.g., solder). Qualifications High School Diploma or an equivalent GED. Minimum one (1) year of manufacturing experience; at least one of the following: Read schematics, drawings, and work instructions. Basic solder operations. Assemble, modify, or install electronic/electromechanical assemblies. Process metal, plastics, or composites (decaling, masking, sanding, stenciling, chemical cleaning, bonding, mixing bonding or paint materials). Must pass a qualifying and/or practical test. Must be able to work any designated shift, including overnight hours. Must obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance before the start date. Must obtain and maintain an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) clearance. Union and Benefits Information This position is part of a collective bargaining agreement.
