Investment Specialist

The Encompass Group is partnering with a boutique Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) firm in DFW, to identify an experienced Investment Specialist to join its growing team. This is an opportunity for an investment-focused professional who enjoys combining portfolio management, investment research, alternative investments, and client strategy . The Investment Specialist will work closely with the firm’s advisors to develop thoughtful investment recommendations for high-net-worth clients while also playing a hands-on role in managing and trading the firm’s in-house investment models. What You’ll Do: Run, monitor, and trade the firm’s in-house investment models. Research traditional and alternative investment opportunities across public and private markets. Evaluate investments including private equity, private credit, interval funds, and structured notes . Prepare investment recommendations and portfolio strategies for prospective and new clients. Partner with advisors to assess client risk tolerance and develop appropriate investment recommendations. Prepare investment materials and analysis for ongoing client portfolio reviews. Support advisors during client review meetings with investment insights, market perspectives, and portfolio recommendations. Conduct ongoing due diligence and research across investment managers, strategies, products, and market opportunities. Help ensure portfolio recommendations remain aligned with each client’s objectives, risk profile, and broader financial strategy. What We’re Looking For: 5–7 years of professional experience with a strong focus on investments, portfolio management, or investment research. Strong understanding of both traditional investments and alternative strategies. Direct knowledge of private equity, private credit, interval funds, and structured notes . Experience with portfolio models, investment research, and developing client-specific recommendations. Ability to translate complex investment concepts into clear, actionable recommendations for advisors and clients. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Comfortable working in a collaborative, boutique RIA environment where investment expertise has a direct impact on clients. Why This Opportunity?
