GT is consistently among the top firms on the Am Law Global 100; this is an exciting opportunity to train and work with a dynamic and nationally recognized practice group.Job RequirementsIdeal candidates should have 4-6 years of experience working with private equity funds, independent sponsors, and portfolio companies in connection with M&A transactions, capital raises, and debt and securities offerings. Candidates should have experience drafting operating and partnership agreements and attending to the day-to-day needs of portfolio companies.Candidates should be well-versed in the mechanics of leading an M&A transaction from inception to closing; experience with majority and minority equity issuances made in conjunction with M&A transactions; general corporate and corporate governance experience; ability to work effectively as part of a team across practice areas and a willingness to train junior associates.Candidates should also possess a strong academic background, superior drafting and research skills, experience negotiating important transaction documents, the ability to draft M&A transaction documents, and the candidates should be diligent, detail-oriented, proactive, supportive, team-oriented, and personable.Candidates must be admitted to the Texas Bar and should be willing to participate in community and professional organizations as part of professional development.GT is an EEO employer with an inclusive workplace committed to merit-based consideration and review without regard to an individual’s race, sex, or other protected characteristics and to the principles of non-discrimination on any protected basis.
