Position Summary You will serve as the face behind the brand for our Veterinary Sales Team in Richmond, VA, promoting Pro Plan Veterinary Diets® and fostering relationships with veterinarians, clinic staff, and key decision makers. Responsibilities Promote Pro Plan Veterinary Diet® product line and drive the Purina Veterinary business through innovative sales and marketing concepts. Grow the business by creating targeted, brand‑building sales and marketing programs to achieve volume and hit quantitative and qualitative goals. Develop and implement strategic business plans within the assigned territory. Provide consultative selling, top‑tier customer service, and nutritional expertise through clinic calls, product detailing, in‑hospital training, and special events. Work cross‑functionally with regional teams, distributor channel partners, and other internal stakeholders. Identify each clinic’s business needs and use consumer insights and trends to support recommendations. Develop and nurture relationships with key decision makers to obtain active recommendations for Purina products. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. 1+ year of sales experience. Other Requirements Valid state driver’s license, satisfactory driving record, and automobile insurance covering $100,000 bodily injury per person, $300,000 bodily injury per occurrence, and $50,000 property damage. Must be able to travel, including overnight, as needed to manage the assigned territory. Reliable transportation is required for territory management. Relocation: If you reside in the territory, be open to relocate for future advancement opportunities; if not, relocation to the territory is required upon offer acceptance and for future advancement. Physical Requirements This role requires frequent bending, reaching below the waist and overhead, lifting items up to 40 lbs, and extended periods of sitting and standing. Other Benefits and Information The approximate pay range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000, with final compensation varying based on knowledge, skills, and geographic location. Nestlé offers performance‑based incentives and a competitive total rewards package, including a 401(k) with company match and health care coverage. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
