Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop customized treatment plans to address the mental health needs of seniors.

• Provide consultation services, including developing pre-crisis and crisis plans, behavioral guidelines, and medication treatment plans.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation that meets regulatory standards and aligns with telehealth best practices.

• Utilize evidence-based screening tools as guided by the clinical team to inform treatment decisions.

• Collaboratively design and implement positive behavior support plans with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.

• Participate actively in licensing and accreditation activities to ensure our clinic meets agency standards.

• Serve as a liaison to public and private agencies to enhance resource access for our clients.

• Foster open communication channels with team members and community partners to promote organizational goals and mission.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role specifically focuses on providing mental health counseling to a geriatric population, emphasizing support for those experiencing grief, adjustment difficulties, and various age-related challenges. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the unique psychological needs faced by seniors and demonstrate an ability to adapt therapeutic methods accordingly.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) designation in Massachusetts.

• A minimum of four years of recent experience specifically in geriatric counseling and mental health support, particularly with a focus on aging-related issues.

Preferred Experience\n

• Additional specialization or training in geriatric mental health, including but not limited to, grief therapy, behavioral health interventions, and crisis management in older adults.

Compensation and Benefits\n
