Company Description Groom House is a New York-based salon designed as a relaxing space where clients can unwind while receiving exceptional, custom haircuts. The team specializes in tailored, scissor-over-comb styles—“the uncut cut”—that deliver a clean look without harsh lines. Stylists consider each client’s career, personal style, face structure, and hair texture to create a cut that is uniquely suited to them. Clients leave with a look that grows out well over 5–6 weeks and with the guidance needed to maintain their style. Role Description The Salon Coordinator is a part-time, on-site role based at Groom House in New York, NY. This position is responsible for welcoming clients, managing check-in and check-out, and ensuring a smooth and professional front-of-house experience. Day-to-day tasks include answering phones, handling appointment scheduling and confirmations, and maintaining accurate records in the booking system. The Salon Coordinator supports stylists by organizing client flow, addressing inquiries, and providing attentive customer service in the waiting area. The role also involves light administrative work, processing payments, maintaining a clean reception space, and communicating any scheduling or client issues to the salon management team. Qualifications Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and Communication abilities. Front desk and reception capabilities, including Receptionist Duties and Phone Etiquette. Administrative and organizational proficiency, including Appointment Scheduling and basic record-keeping. Comfort working in a fast-paced salon or service environment, with the ability to multitask and prioritize. Professional demeanor, punctuality, and reliability in an on-site, client-focused role. Basic computer skills and experience with scheduling or point-of-sale systems. Prior experience in hospitality, retail, or salon coordination is preferred but not required. #J-18808-Ljbffr Groom House
