Litigation Paralegal

Salary: $70,000–$90,000, depending on experience Experience: 5+ years Schedule: Hybrid | 4 days per week in NYC I’m working with a well-established litigation defense firm that is looking to add an experienced Paralegal to its New York City team. This is an opportunity for a paralegal who enjoys being closely involved in the full life cycle of a case, from initial intake and discovery through trial and final resolution, and who wants to work alongside experienced litigators on a varied caseload. You’ll provide hands‑on support across personal injury and general litigation defense matters, including: Supporting attorneys with cases from inception through trial and close Reviewing, organizing and summarizing medical records, financial records and other case materials Assisting with discovery and litigation preparation Preparing trial binders, exhibits and witness files Managing court calendars, deadlines and case schedules Preparing status reports and keeping attorneys and relevant parties updated Conducting legal research and assisting with case‑related documentation Obtaining and reviewing medical records Handling daily time‑entry and billing requirements Coordinating with attorneys, clients, court personnel, experts and other legal professionals Ensuring key deadlines and case milestones are met What the team are looking for: 5+ years of paralegal experience, ideally within defense litigation Experience supporting personal injury and/or general litigation Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA‑approved program preferred Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail Excellent time management and ability to manage competing deadlines Experience reviewing and obtaining medical records Previous law firm billing and time‑entry experience Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Legal research experience; Lexis experience is a plus Genuine interest in litigation and supporting cases through to resolution Why Consider It?
