Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care in the Emergency Department, including triage, initial assessment, monitoring, and ongoing patient surveillance
• Administer medications and interventions per physician orders; collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to stabilize and treat patients
• Document patient status, interventions, and care plans accurately in the EPIC EMR; ensure timely and complete charting
• Communicate effectively with physicians, ancillary staff, patients, and families; participate in discharge planning and patient education
• Respond to acute changes, emergencies, and code events; assist with procedures and patient transfers as required
• Floating to other ED areas may be required to support patient care and maintain staffing levels

Requirements

• Active New York RN license (NURSYS verification)
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience; pediatric exposure encouraged
• Current AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS; NIHSS and TNCC required
• EMR experience required: EPIC
• Documentation of travel experience; must be able to document a 75-mile distance from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Driver license with address that matches demographics
• RTO (Requests for Time Off) must be included at submission
• Resume updated to include ED experience and travel history
