About the Position

Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular Operating Room RN – Georgia

Start Date: Following completion of privileging process (approximately 120 days)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Day shift with 1:1 patient ratio. Call coverage one day per week and one weekend approximately every four weeks (subject to departmental needs). Weekend shifts required only during call rotation. Floating within facility/scope of practice and to Main OR as needed.

Highlights:

• Specialized cardiovascular, vascular, endovascular, and thoracic surgical experience required
• Epic charting system preferred
• Supportive interdisciplinary team including respiratory and interpretation services
• Opportunity to work with advanced procedures including CABG, TAVR, VAD placement, carotid endarterectomy, and VATS
• Heart transplant experience highly preferred
• Contract length varies (8-26 weeks available) with corresponding time-off allowances

Requirements:

• Current RN license in Georgia or Compact state license
• Minimum 2 years of operating room experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Current ACLS, BLS, and RNFA certifications required
• Mandatory experience in cardiac, vascular, endovascular, and thoracic procedures
• Trauma Level I or Level II experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Must complete privileging process prior to start date (approximately 3-month timeline)
• Full compliance required to start on time; delayed compliance results in two-week pushback due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
