Maintenance Mechanic: The Impact You’ll Have On The Organization and World Join our team to maintain and improve plant industrial equipment, ensuring safety, efficiency, and reliability. Responsibilities Perform mechanical maintenance on plant industrial equipment, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, fabrication, and documentation of plant process equipment. Strive to enhance knowledge of process equipment and associated support systems. Ensure work is captured in SAP maintenance module; participate in plant safety, environmental, and production programs, including improvement teams. Coordinate, schedule, and complete all assigned work orders and preventive maintenance inspections in cooperation with operations, electrical, instrumentation, and contractor personnel. Identify existing or imminent mechanical failure mechanisms through knowledge of plant equipment and processes. Analyze current equipment and process operating conditions and make adjustments to maximize plant efficiency and hardware life. Perform maintenance requirements to successfully complete preventive maintenance or repairs to plant process equipment. Input information into SAP maintenance system to record accomplishments and document repair. Serve as a system matter expert for all aspects of plant maintenance and equipment during root cause analysis (RCA) and process safety management (PSM) requirements. Support environmental and safety program initiatives and improvements. Contribute subject matter expertise to the Maintenance and Engineering departments to support maintenance, engineering, and capital project initiatives. Build maintenance and equipment technical data for updating and maintaining equipment files. Develop and maintain inventory of essential maintenance materials and critical equipment spare parts. Interact with vendors to identify parts properly for ordering and delivery. Gain an intimate understanding of plant processes and process variables. Work closely with Maintenance Supervisor for troubleshooting, maintenance, and engineering activities. Model excellence in EHS, housekeeping, leadership, and ensure EHS compliance at all times. Model team behavior; work well with others. Show excellent organizational and planning skills; learn quickly and be detail-oriented. Required Skills / Abilities High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of 3 years of experience working with, understanding, maintaining, and repairing mechanical components (e.g., rotating equipment inspection and assessment, coupling/pulley alignment, belt tensioning and alignment). Minimum of 3 years of mechanical troubleshooting experience (valves, motors, pumps, etc.). Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or military environment. Technical understanding and problem‑solving skills. Work required rotational weekend on‑call duties. Work in high places and confined spaces; lift 50 lbs. throughout an eight‑hour shift. Demonstrated ability to read standard blueprints, machine and process drawings (P&ID, PFD, and isometrics). Welding ability (GTAW, GMAW, SMAW) is desired. Must have or meet requirements for a TWIC card.
