Geriatric Psychiatrist Opportunity

St. Peter's Health Partners is seeking a full-time Inpatient-Geriatric Psychiatrist to join their long-standing, highly regarded behavioral health program at Samaritan Hospital in Troy, NY. This is a fantastic opportunity for psychiatrists with training or strong interest in geriatric psychiatry to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care for older adults in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, supported by system-level resources and a physician-friendly culture.

Job Description:

• Provide inpatient psychiatric care for geriatric patients on a 20-bed Geriatric-Psychiatry unit
• Collaborate with a full-time Clinical Coordinator/Social Worker trained in geriatric psychiatry
• Work within a multidisciplinary team of therapists, counselors, case managers, psychiatrists, and nurse practitioners
• Participate in 1:6 weekend call rotation for inpatient coverage
• Deliver patient-centered, evidence-based care addressing medical, psychiatric, and social needs of older adults
• Coordinate care with system-level behavioral health leadership and resources
• Support a stable, full-time psychiatrist presence on the Geriatric-Psychiatry unit
• Not accepting Locums candidates
• Not open to Visa Candidates
• Candidates must be truly Board Eligible or Board Certified. Candidates with lapsed Board Certification will not be accepted.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive Salary Range of $318,449 $354,957 per year, commensurate with experience
• Starting Bonus: $25,000
• Retention Bonus: $30,000
