Responsibilities Drive top‑line sales growth and achieve desired margin expectations. Act as a trusted business partner to distributors, subcontractors, and internal sales teams. Collaborate cross‑functionally with sales, construction services, and leadership. Lead internal AWI sales region best practices and processes. Participate in monthly Pulse meetings. Utilize Salesforce (CRM) to capture project follow‑up activities, next steps, and maintain an active pipeline. Track and close projects with distributors and subcontractors, driving every project to a win or loss outcome. Analyze data from JFU efforts within Salesforce and monthly regional sales reports to identify trends, opportunities, and gaps. Create action plans to grow share of wallet with specific accounts. Capture competitive data and present findings to business leaders. Understand and promote Armstrong’s selling advantages and positioning versus competitors. Deliver presentations, segment pieces, and responses to inquiries; manage sampling initiatives. Operate as a member of a focused selling team to achieve individual, team, and business growth objectives. Develop and coordinate account and territory plans with internal resources. Train AWI sales team on product, solutions selling, and strategic collaboration. Measure progress via customer voice mechanisms to become the easiest to do business with. Support integration efforts for successful business development opportunities. Requirements Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four‑year university or equivalent work experience. High Diploma/GED required. 5+ years of relevant field sales experience within a similar industry. Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications. Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and blueprints. Proven ability to develop influential strategic relationships with key customers. Strong collaboration skills with internal AWI resources. Capability to use business and financial metrics to drive improved performance. Comfortable creating reports and metrics; delivering executive presentations with detail orientation. Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
