Job Title Mechanical Engineer 2 Location East Peoria,IL 61611 Duration 12 Months Daily Schedule Monday – Friday, some rare weekend days when there are project specific needs. Position’s Contributions to Work Group Support Senior Engineer by completing design tasks. Potential for additional responsibility depending on experience and demonstrated success in the role. The worker will be performing entry-level duties and should have a genuine interest in this aspect of the role. Stress & life analysis Interaction with team Works closely with Senior Design Engineer Interacts with suppliers, supplier development engineers, and internal CAT process partners (Quality, Operations, etc.) Team Structure Can be a global team – this role will be supporting the local team – with about 20 members – would be working closly with 2-3 team members Very experienced and welcoming team. Interact regularly with global team members. Work environment Will be located with the core design team in an office adjacent to a machining and assembly facility. Will sit in a cubical with other engineers from the team. 80% office – boots, eye, ear Education & Experience Required Years of experience: 2-4 years Degree requirement: BS in Mechanical Engineering – relevant (Manufacturing, Automotive) No 2 year degrees Masters must still have 2 years of experience Do you accept internships as job experience: No Top 3 Skills Creo 3D modeling (and specifically Creo, not another modeling software) Reading technical drawings & prints Mechanical design experience Additional Technical Skills (Required) Proficient in Creo Understands basic geometric tolerancing Mechanical design experience Additional Technical Skills (Desired) Proficient in Creo Simulate FEA Experience in steel or iron casting design APQP knowledge Practical / hands-on experience Strong mechanical aptitude Soft Skills (Required) Strong initiative Effective verbal & written communicator Can manage individual tasks to meet deadlines Open to input & feedback from others Works well with other engineers, suppliers, and internal process partners Soft Skills (Desired) Eagerness to learn new things #J-18808-Ljbffr eTeam
