Pay: $19.90 per hour

Position Summary: The Operating Technician is responsible for preparing, setting up, starting, and running thermoforming manufacturing equipment. This role plays a key part in ensuring parts meet quality specifications while maintaining productivity and safety standards.

Setup experience is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Setup & Operation:

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot thermoforming equipment
• Ensure efficient setup including tooling, materials, and production rates
• Inspect machinery and tooling prior to startup
• Monitor machine performance and adjust as needed
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning
• Identify and address nonconforming materials or products

Quality:

• Ensure parts meet established quality standards
• Perform quality checks and documentation
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Maintain clean and organized work area

Communication:

• Complete required production documentation
• Provide clear shift hand-off updates to incoming team members
• Communicate equipment or quality issues promptly

Safety:

• Follow all established safety procedures
• Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Participate in safety programs and continuous improvement initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience
• Machine setup experience required
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English for safety and quality purposes
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Skills

• Experience operating thermoforming or similar manufacturing equipment
• Knowledge of quality control principles and SPC
• Basic computer skills
• Strong organization and time management skills

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 10 lbs continuously
• Lift 11–30 lbs regularly
• Lift 31–50 lbs occasionally
• Frequent standing, bending, stooping, reaching, and twisting
