A national labor and employment law firm is confidentially seeking a mid-level associate (3 to 5 years) to support a management-side employment litigation practice in Miami. This is a 100 percent defense role representing employers across the full range of workplace disputes, including wage and hour and discrimination matters.

THE ROLE

• Defend employers in employment litigation matters, including wage and hour and discrimination claims.
• Draft and argue motions; handle pleadings, written discovery, and deposition preparation.
• Support case strategy, factual development, and litigation management from early stages through resolution.
• Partner with senior attorneys on client communications and practical, business-focused guidance during disputes.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3 to 5 years of full-time management-side employment defense experience representing employers/companies.
• Florida Bar admission in good standing.
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Law school performance in the top third of the class.
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Outgoing, client-facing interpersonal style.

PREFERRED BACKGROUND

• Wage and hour experience.
• Demonstrated interest in specific employment litigation sub-areas and comfort handling employer-side disputes.
