Category Sourcing Manager

Category Sourcing Manager Job Summary : For a global leader in mobility products and services, this role is responsible for leading and developing sourcing, category, and procurement strategies for direct categories focused on raw materials, purchased finished products, and manufactured assemblies. This is a contract position with potential to turn permanent. Location : Atlanta, Georgia | Job Type : Contract | Salary : $55–$60 per hour | Work Hours : 8:00 am to 5:00 pm | Education : Bachelor’s degree required. Responsibilities Lead and develop sourcing, category, and procurement strategies for direct categories focused on mechanical areas. Develop strategic category roadmaps, including identifying and developing new suppliers. Review electronic assembly BOMs, technical drawings, and engineering specifications to determine strategic sourcing decisions. Monitor overall supplier performance within assigned categories and develop and implement corrective action. Lead Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) activities for assigned categories. Provide technical direction within electrical categories by evaluating and guiding product strategy throughout the product development and manufacturing lifecycle. Conduct and assess RFQs, RFPs, RFIs, negotiations, supplier evaluations, and determine supplier selection. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration. Eight (8+) years of category management, strategic sourcing, and procurement experience. Experience leading category strategy and supplier performance across manufacturing materials. Experience determining supplier selection for direct spend on mechanical-related categories. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio), SAP, Oracle, and/or Ariba.
