Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in West Virginia, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and night shift availability on a 13-week contract with extension potential.

Details

• 34-bed Med/Surg unit with telemetry monitoring capabilities
• Patient ratios of 1:5–7
• Night shift: 4x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Weekday and weekend shifts required, with 3 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
• Charting performed in Cerner EMR
• 13-week contract with possibility of extension

Requirements

• Active WV or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Two manager or charge nurse references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates

• Attendance reliability is critical — candidates should be aware that the facility has a strict policy regarding call-offs during the contract period
