Location: Los Angeles, CA
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: June 29, 2026
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours/week
Setting: Outpatient Surgical Center
Contract Type: Local Contract
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) to support an outpatient surgical setting. This role is responsible for the decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment to ensure patient safety and compliance with infection control standards.
Cases Supported
- Hysterectomy
- Vasectomy
- Orthopedic procedures
Responsibilities
- Perform decontamination, cleaning, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments and trays
- Inspect instruments for functionality, cleanliness, and integrity
- Operate and monitor sterilization equipment according to AAMI and facility standards
- Accurately document sterilization records and instrument tracking
- Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines
- Collaborate with OR staff to ensure timely availability of sterile supplies
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the sterile processing department
Required Qualifications
- CRCST certification
- Current BLS card
- Experience with: Hysterectomy, Vasectomy, Orthopedic procedures
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care setting as a Sterile Processing Technician or CST
