Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical Floor Nurse position is located in a top-tier healthcare facility in Saint Louis, Missouri. This role involves providing inpatient care within a magnet and teaching hospital that functions as a Level I Trauma Center. The position supports a diverse patient population with trauma and acute care surgery needs, offering an engaging environment for experienced nursing professionals.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Missouri or compact state nursing license; 5 years of nursing experience; 6 years of patient ratio experience; required certifications include BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIHSS; must have prior trauma level I experience, community hospital experience, and travel experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior charge nursing experience, Epic charting system familiarity, and LTAC or trauma level II experience are preferred
• Additional Information: Clinical responsibilities include interpreting EKGs and managing dysrhythmias, blood product administration, IV insertion, wound care, trauma management, and operating special equipment such as external fixators and wound vacuums. The position requires ability to pass Relias EKG exam. This role involves floating within scope and adhering to the facilitys protocol for rapid response and trauma care.
• Orientation and Compliance: Orientation parking is available at designated garages; compliance deadlines are within the specified timeframe. Certifications such as ACLS must be obtained by the hard deadline, and all necessary modules should be completed prior to start. No RTO requests exceeding 7 days are permitted; first-week no RTO allowed.
• Licensing: MO license in hand required at time of submittal; candidates outside Missouri require matching licenses or license update agreements. No local candidates within a 75-mile radius accepted.
• Other Details: The assignment begins on 08/17/2026, with all contract terms and scheduling adhered to strictly. Floating within service line is required, and punctual compliance with all onboarding prerequisites is mandatory.
