Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

With up to two positions open, you will play a vital role in K-12 settings, providing crucial support to students with diverse communication needs throughout the academic year.

What We’re Looking For:

• Valid SLP-CCC or eligibility (SLPs preferred; strong CFYs may be considered, particularly with an established supervisor)
• Experience in school-based or pediatric settings
• Ability to work effectively onsite and travel between assigned schools
• Application for Michigan licensure in process, with proof of pending status (NSY considered)
• Official university transcripts prior to being presented
• Strong collaboration skills with teachers, families, and support staff
• Awareness of challenges and resources pertinent to students in urban environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individual and group speech/language therapy to K-12 students
• Collaborate with educators and families to integrate communication support into classroom routines
• Set annual goals and short-term objectives, participating in IEP/MET meetings
• Maintain documentation, ensuring compliance with district, state, and federal regulations
• Conduct assessments, write comprehensive evaluations, and determine eligibility for special education
• Provide training in AAC systems and support implementation at school and home
• Offer in-service training for staff on language development strategies
• Travel between multiple school buildings to address students’ needs
• Maintain therapy equipment, materials, and related records
