Quality Manager

This role is responsible for leading quality strategy, ensuring products consistently meet internal and customer standards, and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. You will oversee the Quality Management System, lead audits, and use data-driven insights to elevate performance and compliance. Description Support and enhance the Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with industry and customer standards Lead root cause investigations on machining and manufacturing issues using structured problem-solving tools (5 Whys, FMEA, etc.) Investigate customer complaints and non-conformances, driving containment, corrective actions, and long-term solutions Partner closely with CNC machining and production teams to ensure quality requirements and tolerances are consistently achieved Coordinate and manage First Article Inspections (FAI) and documentation, ensuring full compliance with customer specifications Review engineering drawings, GD&T, and machining processes to ensure manufacturability and quality alignment Support supplier quality initiatives, particularly with vendors providing machined or metal components Analyse key quality data (scrap, rework, yield, returns) to identify trends and implement improvements Participate in internal and external audits and contribute to compliance and certification activities Support new product introduction, process validation, and risk assessments within a machining environment Profile Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment, ideally focused on metals and CNC machining Strong understanding of machining processes (milling, turning, fabrication) and associated quality challenges Experience working with tight tolerances, engineering drawings, and GD&T Knowledge of quality systems such as AS9100, ISO, or similar regulated environments Hands-on experience with root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies Familiarity with inspection methods, metrology tools, and calibration processes Ability to analyse data and drive improvements within a production setting Strong communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and production teams Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and quality reporting tools Relevant certifications (CQE, ASQ) are beneficial but not essential Job Offer Be part of a technically strong CNC machining environment where quality is business-critical Gain exposure to complex, precision manufacturing and challenging engineering problems Work closely with experienced engineers and leadership in a collaborative setting Take ownership of meaningful improvement projects with visible impact Join a stable and growing organisation offering long-term career development opportunities MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
