Shipping Coordinator

Shipping Coordinator Reports to: Distribution Center Supervisor Location: Ellabell, GA Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm Join us at our brand new, 500,000 square foot distribution center in the Savannah area (Ellabell, GA)! About the Role The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the shipping process within the distribution center. This role ensures that products are shipped accurately, timely, and cost-effectively while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements Responsibilities Schedule and coordinate shipments with carriers and freight forwarders. Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs documentation. Ensure accurate and timely shipment of products to customers. Review and verify shipping orders and ensure they are processed correctly. Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped according to customer requirements Communicate with Distribution Center Manager & respond to inquiries regarding shipment status, delays, and any issues that arise. Resolve shipping discrepancies and handle customer inquiries promptly and professionally. Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations, including hazardous materials handling and export controls. Promote and adhere to safety standards and practices within the distribution center. Maintain accurate records of all shipping transactions. Generate reports on shipping activities, costs, and performance metrics. Identify opportunities for process improvements in shipping and logistics operations. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce shipping costs. Investigate shipping discrepancies with corresponding carriers or internal or external departments. At times needing to communicate with outside partners. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management System) systems and concepts Knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) CFS Brands is committed to creating an inclusive work environment with a diverse workforce.
